This is to state that an online program on "Critical Thinking Foundation Course" had been organized by the Department of Petroleum Engineering (PE) and Petrochemical Engineering (PCE) for the 100 students of 3rd year PE & PCE during the academic year, 2016 - 2017 & 2017 - 2018. According to the feedback from the students, the aforementioned program had been very good and necessary to develop critical thinking skills. The resource person of the program was rated as very good to outstanding by the students. Further, the students recommended continuing this online program on WebEx for their junior batches.
NTR Model School partnered with Acclaim Global Education India Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Star Tech Group, USA to improve critical thinking and analytical thinking foundation skills in our students. In this Avatar CTF project, we had the opportunity to have very high-quality teachers from USA taking LIVE classes twice a week with our students in a twelve-week course model. In addition to our students, there were three additional schools at the same time learning together with our students. In twelve weeks, we have noted remarkable communication and thinking ability improvement in our students.
This experience has shown that our students, regardless of their financial or family background, once they have the opportunity to actively engage and discuss with world-class teachers, that exposure gives them a lot self-confidence with improvement in their communication and thinking skills. This Critical Thinking Foundation courses in my opinion are very important to prepare our students for the 21st Century workforce. I would like to recommend these courses not only for students but also for the faculty in order to strengthen our teacher’s skills.
As part of the academic excellence, we have incorporated an additional programme to high school students from the USA which is sponsored by the Acclaim Global Education India Pvt. Ltd. A subsidiary of Star Tech Group. This course was designed to enhance the critical thinking and English communique skills for a period of 12 weeks during the academic year 2015-15.
The classes which attended this program were heterogeneous in the standard of their English language. But by the end of this program, we could note a lot of transformation in children in the form of their increased self-confidence, critical thinking, zeal to learn and their communique skills. This helped even to improve their academic performance.
Hence, I suggest that this kind of exposure to children at this age will definitely sharpen their skills and make their journey with an ease to achieve their ambitions in a further career.
I serve as the head of school for Holy Cross Catholic High School. We are a newly formed school and in our third year. We were experiencing a shortage of qualified and highly competent candidates for math and science. My name is Pushpa Sogi. I come from Hindupur, Anantapur dist,. Andhra Pradesh. I have 23 years of teaching experience. But never thought of getting an opportunity to teach American Kids. And this was made possible only by AGE.
...I never thought one small article in the news paper would bring me to this highest peak of success. Yes, I started my journey to America with an article of APNRT in the Eenadu newspaper. Andhra Pradesh Non Resident Telugu Society (APNRT) in association Acclaim Global Education Ltd made this fiction into realistic.
The process of selection started with an online test on 5th Dec 2018. The shortlisted candidates were called to the APNRT office at Amaravathi to give the written exam on 15th Dec 2018. And the results of written exam were announced on 29th Dec 2018 in which I was qualified and shortlisted for the next level. And further I underwent 6 levels of interviews with the HR team and the School Principals panel. It was really a happy moment whenever I received a mail stating that I have been shortlisted for the next round. This went enriching my enthusiasm to keep up my spirits high.
The process of recruiting was very transparent, and everything was made clear by the AGE team. There were no hard and fast rules to come across. I was feeling panic at the final round of interview with the panel of Texas schools’ Principals but Mr. Jilani, Operations Head, AGE boosted me and made my way easier to get through the final round and it was a really a proud moment for me to get shortlisted.
After all the documentation process, I also underwent many trainings to understand the teaching, classroom strategies and classroom behaviors. And these were conducted by AGE in association with APNRT at Vijayawada. And even Visa process was also carried out by the AGE team and I got my visa done at Hyderabad.
Finally, the most awaited day arrived to fly to America. September 14th 2019 was the day I, with my 15 other friends started our journey and reached US with many excited dreams. I felt very happy when I reached USA as all the arrangements of our accommodation were done to make our stay comfortable.
At this juncture I would really thank the key persons Mr. Ravi Shakamuri, CEO, AGE, who has always been a backbone to my success, Mr. Jilani, Operations Head AGE and his team Mr. Purnachandra Shekar, Mr. Raju and also all the crew members of APNRT who Supported and guided for my success. My thanks is also due to Ms. Santra Banda and Ms Nelly Jeminez who supported and guided us after reaching USA. I also thank my family for their co operation and support. Honestly, trust me it was not a commercial transaction between me and the above organizations. It will be a huge surprise that there was no money transacted between us till now. My selection was so transparent and lucid without any complex process. The Star Tech team worked very professionally with a mission, motivated by the altruistic instinct of Mr. Ravi Shakamuri.
It will be ungrateful on my part, if I fail to recognize the contribution of Mr. A K Jilani, who has shown his high level of patience from the initiation to the accomplishment of the recruitment task. This is Mohana Krishna Mullapudi. I have been working as mathematics teacher for the last 26 years. I worked in various schools in India including the AP State Board, The CBSE and The ICSE. I also worked in The Republic of Maldives under the Ministry of Education. After seeing the advertisement in the local Newspaper on 27th Novemebr 2018, which was given by the APNRT in collaboration with the AGE and The Star Care Technologies of Odessa, Texas USA for the recruitment of teachers in the state of Texas, I myself applied for the position of High School Mathematics teacher. An online test and a written test followed by a series of interviews were conducted by the HR Manager, Mr. AK Jilani, the CEO of the Star Care Technologies Mr. Ravi Shakamuri, the International coordinator for teachers Ms Nelli Jimenez of ECISD of Texas. After conducting all these zoom video interviews, they conducted the Principals’ interview through which they selected us as teachers to work in Texas, USA. I had an amazing experience with The Acclaim Global Education (AGE). From the beginning AGE Team was very knowledgeable about the culture of each school. During the orientation, they gave me tips and insight into schools that I had not known. They had such a pleasant disposition.... I am overwhelmed to share my fabulous experience. I was working in Ascent Junior College, Visakhapatnam when I saw an article in the news paper about this opportunity. Initially, there was an online exam followed by a descriptive test that was evaluated by the officials from TEA(Texas Educational Authority).Thereafter, we had a set of interviews through Skype and Zoom. ... Something started as a dream, turned into a reality in the best possible environment. AGE has handled it with high professional standards, with utmost transparency, clearing our apprehensions and doubts in our conference calls from time to time. I would proudly announce that we haven't spend a penny in this process. We are greatly indebted to Mr.Jilani and Mr.Purnachandra for their immense patience in clearing all our petty issues 24/7.
Ravi Sakamuri Sir, the CEO of AGE has received us from the airport and constantly supported us until we got acquainted with this ecosystem.He has been a pillar of support to all of us. We were astounded by the wonderful Indian community here who received us all as if we are a part of their extended family. I am presently working in Nimitz Middle School as an English teacher.
